2014-2017 F10 535d 535dx - N57 Diesel Performance Tuning

Every TDi I own has been tuned for maximum power and torque. Less than 10, M57's d's we sold here in the US during this period; however the M57 was used globally in various platforms and even in the X5d here in the US. Fuel mileage was rated at 36 mpg's for the highway.

Adding more diesel into the cylinders does indeed create more power but there comes a point where the extra power also produces extra smoke, especially at high loads and higher engine speeds.

There are many different makes and brands of Tuning Boxes available to fit most vehicles. Some of the first generation types are analogue and simply use a resistor to alter ECU signal voltages. These methods are not ideal since neither make adjustments in the same way a proper ECU re-map does, by taking reference from both engine speed and load.

The cost of installation will largely depend on installation complexity and time, which in turn will depend on vehicle make, the type of tuning box, ease of installation and also whether or not a rolling road dyno setup is required. We have a friend with an N57 and a dyno in-house my guess is, countable of those and you know who where the interim dyno results have shown negligible gains on the Wagner as you show as well and interestingly enough unlike the M57 negligible increases from doing ABC deletes.

I know you don't have dyno data from above, but you probably have it from other situations and may corroborate or not? The ABC deletes are really for reliability on the N My local BMW dealer, which is pretty large, says most all of the N57s they see are for emissions issues. My 40k miles d sport just went in for NOx code sensor replacement but 5-weeks later now have a seemingly rare P SCR efficiency code which keeps coming back if I reset.

I'm going to try to force a regen I'm shooting in the dark - no idea if it will help before I go back yet again for more emissions work under warranty. When this car goes out of CPO warranty next spring or blows out of the 80k emissions warranty, I'm afraid the only way to get reliability will be with ABC deletes. Anyone price an SCR for this motor? Cripes it's ridiculous. Killer cars but like M57, emissions components seem to be the devil.
